Cards for Heroes Blog Hop

Are you here for the Cards for Heroes blog hop? If you didn't start at http://cardsforheroes.org/ you may have missed some blogs with great cards!
This Hero on Parade card was started with a Bingo Marker Blast technique sheet of cardstock. Using a piece of fine mesh plastic canvas to emboss it the paper has a subtle texture. It was fun to color the Stampendous chick to go with the bingo markers. And a Thanks! to Jen Del Muro for her SFYTT sketch.

I've made cards for our troops in one form or another for most of the war in Iraq. It has kept our soldiers in my minds eye and in my heart each day. With Cards for Heroes I've made friends as well as creating cards. Wins all around!

And now I'm very happy to send you on to the incredibly talented and nice Lisa Spangler. I bet you know her from The Hero Arts Club Blog. Don't you love her How To videos? Not to mention her wonderful cards. Check out her own blog with her beautiful photographs as well as cards. http://sideoatsandscribbles.wumple.com/?p=1791

Thanks for stopping in!
Martha

Girlfriend, I had a blast looking at your card, and now strolling through 127 comments! Heehee, see how fun blogging can be? :) :) :) Hope you're basking in the glow of the praise of your sweet card, that chick is nutty cute.

Have to tell a quick story - you know I have designed my company's gift catalog, right...well, we have a "parade of animals" and one year the guy in charge joked about having a little yellow chick in a marching band outfit..yadda yadda. Me being the silly person I am, I photoshopped a chick with a band hat and beating on a big drum. GUESS WHAT I HAD TO KEEP IN THE CATALOG!?!? Yeah. That's what I get for trying to be a smarty pants! lol.

Thanks for joining in the hop, my friend, and for your ongoing support of our heroes!!!
